Our not-to-be-missed surf/skate film event promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

Board Shorts, Saturday 8th November 2008, Sandsifter Bar, Hayle

Board Shorts is now in its fourth year and it's expanding again, to accommodate a bigger, international line up. Held as part of the Cornwall Film Festival, the screening will be open to international entries as well as the very best of British talent and will feature a series of short films and slide shows selected to inspire us all.

Situated at the awesome 'Sandsifter' bar in Gwithian, Nr Hayle, screenings will begin at 8pm, running through until 10:30pm, to be followed by DJ's and live music until 2pm. Last year saw the event considerably over subscribed again, so this time we have trebled the capacity, to fit you all in.

The great thing about this event is that, no matter what your wave riding prejudices, everyone can come together, hoot, holler and get stoked out of their brains at the amazing waves and talent on display, it really is amazing.

Film Critic Mark Kermode will be on the panel judging this year's entries. Previous contributors have included, Mickey Smith, John Eldridge, John Issac, Al Mackinnon, Chris Mannell, Mr B and Christiaan Bailey, with material ranging from the heaviest slab sucking beasts to perfect peeling points and everything in between. Contributions for this year’s event are now invited.

Film Entry Deadlines:
Free deadline: 15th July
Late fee (£25) 29th July
